Find out about me and my glass beads.

I have always been drawn to shiny, sparkly things and I first started making silver jewellery while I was still in school. I did a degree in 3D design, specialising in silversmithing and jewellery and later trained to teach design / technology. I love learning new skills and when I discovered lampwork I knew straight away that I had found a focus for my creative energies.

Glass is common place material, but it can be transformed with skill and craftsmanship into a treasured object. My beads are precious to me, so I approach my bead making with the same eye for detail and quality control as I would apply to working with silver or gold.

Each bead has been crafted in a hot flame in my South Wales studio and then annealled in a digitally controlled kiln to enhance durability. All the beads are cleaned of bead release and there are no sharp edges to cut your threading material. I hope you enjoy looking at my work; I certainly enjoyed making it.
